What it is

A whole zoo to climb on

Our low bouldering wall is dotted with chunky animal holds — triceratops, frogs, dolphins and more. Kids climb up to the TOP, hop down into the soft sand, and start again. No ropes, no harness, no waiting.

  • Just 2.5 m high — low enough to feel safe, tall enough for a real climb.
  • Deep soft sand for gentle landings.
  • No equipment needed — just hands, feet and energy.
  • Free and open to all camp guests.

How the routes work

Follow the dots, reach the TOP

Every route is marked with little round labels next to the holds. Follow your route from the bottom all the way to the TOP label.

1

Routes are sorted by colour

Every label on one route shares the same colour, so it never blends into the route right next to it.

2

Follow your label colour

Climb only the holds whose label is your colour. The animal shape and the colour of the hold itself make no difference.

3

The number is the difficulty

The number on the label tells you how tricky the route is — small numbers are easiest, bigger numbers are a real challenge.

TOP

Touch the TOP label

Reach the hold marked TOP and you've finished the route. Climb down and try the next number up!

Remember: colour = which route (just to keep neighbours apart), number = how hard. The colour and shape of the holds themselves mean nothing — they're just for fun!

Climbing like a pro

Four little tricks for happy climbing

Look first

Spot the next hold with your eyes before you move. Plan where your hands and feet will go.

Three points stick

Keep three of your hands and feet on the wall, and move just one at a time.

Push with your legs

Strong legs do the work. Stand up tall on your feet instead of pulling with tired arms.

Climb down softly

When you're done, climb back down or hop into the sand with soft, bendy knees.

Make it a game

Fun ways to play on the wall

Same wall, endless games. Here are a few favourites to get started.

1

Number ladder

Finish route number 1, then try number 2, then 3… how high a number can you reach the TOP on?

2

Animal safari

Climb only on the dinosaurs. Then only frogs. Can you cross the whole wall hopping animal to animal?

3

Crab walk

Start at one end and traverse sideways to the other — without ever touching the sand.

4

Beat the clock

Time a friend climbing their route, then swap. Can you beat their time on the same number?

Kids under 10 Little challenge

Cross the top — win an ice cream!

Climb across the top of the wall from one side to the other and back, show your video at the restaurant — and get a scoop of ice cream!

Climb safe

A few simple rules

The wall is low and the sand is soft, but a little care keeps every climb a happy one.

Do we need any equipment? +

None at all — no ropes, harnesses or helmets. Just comfy clothes and bare feet or trainers. Sandy hands? A quick wipe helps the grip.

How do the colours and numbers work? +

Each route has a coloured label with a number. The colour only keeps neighbouring routes apart; the number tells you the difficulty. The shape and colour of the holds themselves don't decide the route — follow the labels.

What ages is it for? +

It's built for children — from toddlers finding their first holds low down, up to older kids chasing the higher numbers. Grown-ups are welcome too.

No tickets. No ropes. Just climb.

The wall is right here at the camp and always free. Bring the kids, find a dinosaur, and reach for the TOP.
